Cougar has just unveiled its latest power supply offerings—the GEX 2024 and GEX PRO, both compact yet powerful units with a 140mm length and full modular design. These ATX-standard power supplies come with an 80 PLUS Gold certification, promising high energy efficiency and reliability for demanding PC builds.
The GEX 2024 and GEX PRO share similar design traits, including sleek aesthetics and a highly efficient power conversion curve. However, the standout difference is that the GEX PRO is Intel ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 certified, equipped with a single 12V-2×6 connector for next-gen GPUs, while the GEX 2024 lacks the 12+4 pin interface.
Both series are available in 650W, 750W, and 850W power variants and feature a 120mm HDB (hydraulic dynamic bearing) fan with a seven-blade design. The fan's blade grooves are specially engineered to reduce turbulence and prevent deformation, ensuring better cooling performance.
Internally, they are built to last, equipped with 105°C-rated Japanese capacitors and designed to function in up to 40°C environments. The GEX 2024 comes with a 7-year warranty, while the GEX PRO offers an extended 10-year warranty—making these power supplies ideal for long-term, high-performance computing.
