Apple has officially announced the AirPods 4 at its September 2024 event, introducing two new models: one with active noise cancellation (ANC) and another without. The AirPods 4 feature improved audio quality powered by the H2 chip, better spatial audio, and voice isolation technology. Pre-orders are available starting now, with the release date set for September 20, 2024.
Meanwhile, the AirPods Max received only a minor update, now featuring a USB-C port for charging and new color options, including Midnight, Starlight, Blue, and Orange. However, fans may be disappointed as there are no significant hardware improvements, and it lacks features like lossless audio support that some had hoped for.
