Honor has introduced a groundbreaking AI-powered technology designed to help reverse the effects of nearsightedness (myopia) in its latest devices, including the MagicPad 2 and Magic V3. The innovative "Defocus Display" uses AI to simulate natural focusing, mimicking how our eyes shift between objects at different distances in the real world. This approach could reduce eye strain and even slow down the progression of myopia, a condition that is affecting more of the global population due to increased screen time.
While the potential benefits are promising, experts suggest further independent research is necessary to confirm its long-term efficacy. Currently, this feature is only available on select apps, but Honor plans to expand its functionality soon.
