MSI has quietly introduced a new version of its RTX 4070 Ventus graphics card series, replacing the previous GDDR6X memory with GDDR6. This updated lineup features the AD102-225-A1 core, commonly used in high-end models like the RTX 4090, offering strong performance. While the official pricing for this new series has yet to be announced, it’s expected to provide a more budget-friendly option for gamers and creators.
The series includes Ventus 2X and Ventus 3X models, along with overclocked (OC) variants, all designed with either dual or triple fan cooling solutions. Despite the memory downgrade to 20Gbps from the original 21Gbps, the cards are SFF-Ready (Small Form Factor), aligning with NVIDIA's standard for compact builds.
Notably, the AD102 core used in these cards is usually found in the RTX 4090, highlighting the performance potential of the new RTX 4070 Ventus models. In addition to MSI’s new offerings, the ASUS TUF RTX 4070 Ti SUPER OG also shares a similar design, equipped with the AD102 core for enhanced processing power.
The release of these new models suggests a growing trend in the market toward offering versatile, high-performance options for gaming and creative workloads.
