Changguang Chenxin has recently launched its new GAMX4416, a 16MP global shutter CMOS image sensor. Building on the strengths of the GMAX series, including low noise and excellent PLS (Parasitic Light Sensitivity), the GAMX4416 introduces new features like on-chip binning and HDR (High Dynamic Range), enhancing its performance in a variety of applications such as motion capture, aerial mapping, and automated optical inspection (AOI).

With a resolution of 4096 x 4096 pixels, this sensor captures intricate details, providing clearer images. The global shutter design effectively eliminates motion blur, making it ideal for capturing fast-moving objects. Additionally, the sensor’s low readout noise improves signal-to-noise ratio, resulting in cleaner, sharper images. The HDR capability ensures high-quality imaging in both bright and low-light conditions.
Thanks to these advanced features, the GAMX4416 is well-suited for a wide range of applications. In industrial automation and smart manufacturing, it can be used for high-precision inspection and image recognition tasks. In scientific fields such as spectroscopy, astronomy, and high-energy physics, the sensor provides high-quality imaging data. It is also suitable for high-definition filming in broadcasting, film production, and drone photography scenarios.
