Storage giant Seagate has introduced a new Game Drive SSD specifically designed for Sony PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles. This officially licensed external solid-state drive (SSD) is available in 1TB and 2TB options, priced at £139.99 and £229.99, respectively.

The Seagate Game Drive supports USB Type-C 3.2 and includes both USB-A to USB-C and USB-C to USB-C cables, allowing users to store games efficiently. The SSD can be used to store and run PS4 games directly, but for PS5 titles, it only functions as a storage solution. Users can easily transfer PS5 games back to the console’s internal SSD when ready to play.

The Game Drive’s design matches the aesthetic of the PS5, featuring a matte white casing and a blue LED light strip reminiscent of the DualSense wireless controller.

While the SSD is not capable of running PS5 games directly, it provides a convenient and stylish option for expanding storage and managing large game libraries for both PS4 and PS5 owners.
