On September 18, TerraMaster introduced two new compact all-flash NAS models, the F8 SSD and F8 SSD Plus. Both devices feature eight M.2 2280 NVMe SSD slots, offering support for up to 8x8TB of storage. Despite their powerful capabilities, the devices maintain a sleek, compact form factor, measuring just 140×60×177 mm, comparable to a thick book.
The key difference between the two models lies in the processors. The standard F8 SSD is powered by a quad-core Intel N95 processor, while the F8 SSD Plus comes equipped with a more robust 8-core Intel i3-N305 processor, providing additional processing power for more demanding applications.
Both NAS models run TerraMaster's TOS 6 operating system and come with DDR5 SO-DIMM memory slots. The standard version ships with 8GB of memory, while the Plus version comes with 16GB, expandable up to 32GB.
For connectivity, the F8 SSD series is equipped with a 10GbE RJ-45 port, along with three USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and an HDMI 2.1 port, making it a versatile storage solution for professionals and businesses needing high-speed data access in a small footprint. These new products are ideal for users seeking fast, all-flash storage in a highly portable form factor.
