Intel's upcoming Core Ultra 200 series desktop processors are expected to be officially launched on October 10, with retail availability starting on October 24. Recent leaks from VideoCardz and Twitter user @momomo_us have revealed the design of the packaging for the Core Ultra 9 285K and Core Ultra 7/5 200K processors.
The Core Ultra 9 285K features a darker blue box than previous Core i-series processors and showcases the signature Core Ultra dotted pattern around three sides of the front. The packaging appears to drop the previously used “wafer-like” design in favor of a more straightforward but still distinct look.
The Core Ultra 7/5 200K packaging maintains a similar deep blue color scheme with the dotted pattern but has a simpler, more minimalistic design compared to the Ultra 9 version.
The Core Ultra 200 series is expected to feature up to 8 Lion Cove performance cores and 16 Skymont efficiency cores, without hyper-threading support. These processors will be compatible with DDR5 memory and the latest Intel 800 series motherboards, marking a significant shift in Intel’s desktop lineup.
This launch marks Intel's continued push toward higher efficiency and performance, targeting gamers and high-end users alike.
